Is Obama losing his shine?
http://rasmussenreports.com/public_cont … cking_poll
What's going on, are libs starting to see Obama for what he is, a dangerous, socialist cookie cutter politician?

And that worse than a dangerous, mentally disturbed, fascist cookie cutter politician using a retardedly dangerous, floor scraping of a president's playbook?

The only poll that matters is the one in November.

Yes he is losing is shine and no not for any of the retarded "reasons" you gave.

Yet only a naive 20 year old or a dirty filthy hippy would be actually considering voting for Nader instead, or staying at home.

Obama is no where near as energetic as he was during the primary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo0OReiy … re=related
It seems the election is really starting to wear on him.

*sigh*
Well, at least he lives somewhere that it won't matter, but why take the chance this year? Plus Nader is nothing more than an ego-maniac at this point and ruined any deserved legacy as far as I'm concerned.
Plus at this point it's very important, after winning the Electoral College, to show a decent sized popular vote "mandate" should Obama win.
edit: here's an interesting link about this very topic

With topic titles like this one, I have to ask this question.
Do you work for the news media?
You are very good at posting a leading question as if it were a statement.

So what retarded reasons do you see for the gloss loss?

Re: Is Obama losing his shine?
It's pretty simple. He got the support of the youth vote and the left wing of the Democratic Party by portraying himself as a liberal and Clinton as too conservative. This propelled him to the nomination. After he was nominated, he started the traditional post-primary run to the center and the left wing feels betrayed - partly because he's acting like another typical politician whose real positions are unknown and partly because he may be as center-right as he's started acting.
He's either as centrist as Clinton or a stealth extremist like Bush.

Re: Is Obama losing his shine?
I do live in a safe Democratic state. Obama will take CA, there's no doubt about that. So I don't feel guilty at all about voting for another candidate. I think more on the left in safe states should do the same. Those in swing states should suck it up and vote for Obama.
This pretty well illustrates the fact that there really is no party for the left in the US. It's either vote right or center-right. Kinda sucks if you're a liberal.

Hence the retarded cookie cutter statement. He sold himself as the candidate of change and then started acting like all the other smurf politicians.

Re: Is Obama losing his shine?
Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he is doing what needs to be done so he can take the White House and effect the sort of change he originally set out to do. He's playing the electioneering game which is quite apart from governance and policy. That's par for the course. Of course is opponents would prefer a stalwart, well meaning, high principled loser.
If the "left" or progressives can't figure out what it takes to win elections nationally then they have no business campaigning.

Re: Is Obama losing his shine?
So the "left"or progressives need to run just like W did, with his "compassionate conservatism" "uniter not divider" bullsmurf followed by the most partisan and divisive presidency in decades? Why should we trust anyone, left or right, who does such a thing?

You don't have to trust such people, but those people are the people who are going to run the government.

He has to run his campaign to win nationally. How he actually runs his presidency is another matter.

It amazes me how everyone can make their minds up about all of this stuff within a month of his securing the actual presumptive nomination.

Obama is the second most left person in the Senate. Just how left are you?

This poll is an outlier. He's leading pretty much everywhere.
Then consider the state-by-state polling.
