Apple mobilise the Power special event.

Cryptic and coming in two weeks.
What could it mean?

Link confused

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather--who died peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Re: Apple mobilise the Power special event.

sorry a mate told me. he thinks that it is for new aluminium quad core notebook computers ie Macbook/Macbook pro.
He reckons they have fixed the Macbook topcase issue with the new design.

I discovered the unlimited time warranty myself when my topcase broke out of warranty, Applecare said it was a recognised design flaw and they replace them free of charge.

I've never heard of it either, and can't find anything online about it at all.  There have been rumors going around about a MacBook Pro case redesign, though -- picture here.

Yeah, I can't find any mention anywhere of a special event in two weeks, or this "Mobilize the Power" message.

With Centrino 2 being available now though, it's a given that the laptop line will be due for a refresh in the very near future.

Why isn't anything raisin-flavored?

I sure hope so.  I just got an insurance settlement, and my 4.5yr-old Powerbook is looking a bit old.  If they release new MacBooks and I can still get the student free iPod deal, I think I'll be upgrading.

Re: Apple mobilise the Power special event.

Lo these many centuries Apple has had a stealth parallel program whereby a branch of OS X for IBM's Power architecture has been maintained. In an unprecedented gestalt shift the next generation of Macintosh will transition to these chips.

Patience is a virtue of the weak for it makes them stand still long enough for the strong to crush them with ease.
