Internet connection problem

Yesterday morning all was fine—I was able to log onto the internet as usual on our home wireless connection.

But then last night (at home) I couldn't log on. When I try, I get the Address Not Found box. (Nothing had changed: No one had used the machine and nothing about our home network had changed. All of the other computers—PCs—in the house are connecting fine.)

It seems to work fine on other WiFi networks.

Re: Internet connection problem

Sometimes you just need to restart your base station.

You can also delete the contents of this folder

Re: Internet connection problem

I was just being absurd because static IP addressing doesn't fix every problem in the world.

Re: Internet connection problem

you would be surprised how many issues are solved by entering static IP's in a network enviroment.... but thanks for not being a bit of a jerk about it...

The problem I see with entering a static IP is that most people don't know anything about networking or subnets.

Re: Internet connection problem

You have to call them. There will probably be an additional monthly charge.

Re: Internet connection problem

When we called they told us that the computer would figure it out on its own. Had to start poking around windows but somehow I found it and set up the office network.

I would not my trust isp for that stuff much longer.
