Subtitling in Mac OS X

Hey guys, I have a question. I have a lot of video files I need to embed subtitles in and in some cases I also need to convert from MKV to MP4 or DiVX. Any recomendations? FFMPEG X isn't working.

Re: Subtitling in Mac OS X

Submerge works well for me on the subtitling thing.

And VisualHub is probably the best converter going. Not 100% sure about DiVX, though!

Heh, I was all set to recommend ffmpegX.  I've used it myself a few times to embed subtitles.
I'm not sure if VisualHub can do this, but it'd be my next try.

Oh, I've had success using mencoder on the command line.
