Is search broken?
I'd do a search to see if the topic's already been brought up, but...well...
I don't seem to get hits for any queries at all.

OK. I guess that was premature, but it's still weird. I tried "Apple" and "Mac" and when those returned no results I figured the search must be broken. Instead, it's just goofy.

It hasn't worked well for me for some time. It used to, now it's not even easy to describe what's broken.

It often doesn't work for me.

You magazine staffers (or was it Future IT crew) were the ones who decided against switching it during the MA/M|L switch. Me, I won't disagree with the assessment but will accept any decision on which forum software is used. I just think it should work and bug fixes should be implemented every once in a while.
