Are we really that stupid

http://officeofstrategicinfluence.com/blog2/111

Ok, if you are making more than $5 million/yr, this doesn't apply to you. For the rest of us, it would appear that McCain is counting on our stupidity.

Of course, he's probably right...

Yes, we are really that stupid.

That's why most of the conservative population who can only dream of making more than 80K a year will vote for their tax cuts with McCain.

McCain's "comment" is just about as well sourced as the smurf one.

Raising taxes on the wealthy would be disastrous--is would mean a severe cutting back of experimental pharmaceutical placebos shoved down our throats to cure us of the stress and depression of poverty!

...having nothing in them of the feelings or principles of '76, now look to a single and splendid government of an aristocracy, founded on banking institutions and moneyed incorporations under the guise and cloak of their favored branches of manufactures, commerce and navigation, riding and ruling over the plundered ploughman and beggared yeomanry. -- TJ

Re: Are we really that stupid

Well, you know, the more I think about it, the more I believe McCain may be right.

Consider that our wee republic has a representative democracy, meaning that we elect representatives that, ideally, mirror our society. Consider again that Congress is largely comprised of mentally deficient imbeciles with the IQ's of eggplants, and the discipline of a bull on Viagra.

Not a pretty picture, is it? roll
