Re: And if cats had wings
One cat owner, known only as Feng, claims her cat's wings are a result of stress after he was 'harassed' by females looking to mate.
I was wondering why mine sprouted.

Re: And if cats had wings
If that cat really is a male - it is an anomaly before it had wings.
Look at the coloring.
I believe that can only happen with an extra chromosome (it needs 2 x chromosomes for the calico, male calico are xxy rather than xy and generally infertile)

Re: And if cats had wings
Another winged cat from China hit the news in August 2008. Increased instances of winged cats inthe area were attributed to the earthquake. This second cat was described as a tomcat, but was tortie-and-white (making it either a chimera or an XXY cat). The images are suggestive of skin flaps rather than fur mats.

Finally! A cat that can get itself out of the tree once it's climbed up.

Re: And if cats had wings
I can only imagine how the squirrels would feel if my cat grew wings - wings that worked! The cranky little kitty they'd been chittering at all summer would be able to not just follow them into the treetops but out manuver them. That's right you little tree rats, you've stolen your last cache of birdseed!

Re: And if cats had wings
Winged kitties'd likely soon render the issue of birdseed moot...
