INCOMING!!
FROM ASSOCIATED PRESS
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will make her first campaign trip into Indiana with a rally Friday at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville.
Tickets are required for the rally. They can be reserved through the John McCain campaign Web site and will be distributed at Republican Party offices around the state. Gates to the amphitheater in the northern suburb of Indianapolis will open at 3 p.m. Friday and the rally is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.[/b]
The visit will be the first to Indiana for the GOP’s national ticket since McCain stopped in Indianapolis on July 1.
Democratic nominee Barack Obama, meanwhile, has made six trips to Indiana since mid-July. Michelle Obama is scheduled to make a campaign stop Wednesday at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne. Tickets are not required for that event but campaign officials are urging people to RSVP online.

McCain leads Obama in Indiana 49-45. Glad to see Obama campaign aggressively, though.

Probably. We really won't know how much they grew the debt for a few years so how much needs cut is up for debate. Simply freezing spending at current levels though will do more than you realize. 3% annual growth in programs (Bush was more like 11% average in domestic programs his first term) doubles the spending every 24 years.Yet freezing spending won't help at this point because debt servicing will become a bigger and bigger item in the budget as long as the principal is untouched. If spending is frozen, then cuts will have to be made to accommodate the growing interest payments. I think a freeze on spending would have been a really useful idea -- back in 2001 or so. Now? Waste of time.
Previous governments tried to grow their way out of such crunches, but you folks are entering a major recession (and a potentially catastrophic one at that).Everyone knows what has to happen.
The military gets cut dramatically, taxes go up just to pay for what we currently have and can't afford at current funding, and benefits get cut.
Won't Obama and the Dems just be loved when they do all that.
Do what? Execute fiscal responsible policies like the Republicans have been braying about since Clinton's administration, and before?

She was instate yesterday. The link has some vid available. I haven't watched it but the bit i did see she was off her game (I know, what game?) but her rahrah was a little shaky and that was true for the crowd. Genaral approval but not "USA!" rousing. Faltering.
Seemed out of her league. Objectively. Really.

The fact is that if Obama's choice had anything like the turmoil surrounding This One, the drumbeat for removal would make Lewinsky seem like a soundbite.

Re: All about Governor Palin's problems
Huh. The Globe's political blog
Sarah Palin put a new spin today on the Republican ticket's daily criticism of Barack Obama:
It's not "meanspirited" or "negative campaigning" to "call someone on their record and associations," it's only being fair to voters.
"We do need to know more clearly about the choice we have on Nov. 4th," Palin told supporters in West Chester, Ohio.
The GOP vice presidential candidate said that the ubiquitous Joe the plumber -- Joe Wurzelbacher of Holland, Ohio -- finally got a "straight answer" from Obama on his tax plans, when the Democrat told him that he wants to "spread the wealth."
Wurzelbacher, she noted, has described that as socialism. "Whatever you call it, I call it bad medicine for an ailing economy," Palin said.
The latest focus of Palin and her running mate John McCain is ACORN, a liberal activist group under investigation in several states and by the FBI for allegedly submitting false voter registration applications. The Republicans have all but suggested that ACORN is trying to steal the election, and have called on Obama to come clean on his ties.
Palin told the Ohio voters that they will not "turn the Buckeye state into the ACORN state."
...
ByeByeBuckeye——>>ACORN"Also!"

Exactly what would it take for you to consider Biden to be a bad choice and not the brightest bulb in the room?
I suppose he can spell potato but he can't count since he said Obama has a 3 letter word and it's j-o-b-s.
