Re: Apple Store is down...
wow - the excitement here is palpable.
I really hope it's not just iPods. I'm just not that excited about capacity bumps and new colors any more, especially when almost every other product line is due for an update.

Re: Apple Store is down...
New iPods are kind of a given, although I would like to see some cool features added to the AppleTV.

Hope it's not the same guy who asked for iMovie '08

Pretty weak. I'm not sure why they needed an event for what looked like mostly basic evolutionary updates. In the meantime the Minis, the Mac Pro, and the entire laptop line are looking horribly stale.

I don't really like the extrusion profile of the new Nanos... Fake chinese iPods would have such.

A New Visualizer?
For me, the novelty kinda wore off after I used iTunes 1s visualizer for about five minutes. My brother couldn't get enough of the damn thing and would just sit there watching it.
I don't get it.

The lower prices on the iPod Touch make it more possible. Maybe after Christmas. Maybe not.

The new visualizer is the best new thing today.

I don't know I was rather surprised by the remote coming back, had one on my 3rd gen iPod. Missed it horribly when my sister bought it.

While an interesting concept, how many here would turn off the "shake to shuffle" feature on the new iPod nanos?

Re: Apple Store is down...
How long has it been since there have been any significant changes to the AppleTV or Mac Mini?

Ok, I like the Grid view more than the old Album view. I'd have preferred both though but don't really feel gypped.
Genius seems like it could be a lot more useful if didn't share the same weaknesses as the retrieve album art feature.
The damn arrows are back and unfortunately cannot be expunged.
The new visualizer is nice.
Beyond that it's the standard new store & iPod feature prep update.
