Upside-down rainbow
I managed to get a couple of snaps of a weird meteorological phenomenon earlier. There was a very light overcast and the sun was beginning to set, creating a upside-down rainbow. It didn't come out too clearly with my camera so I've had to do quite a bit of post-processing in iPhoto, hence the poor quality.

I think you need to turn your camera over.
The storm starts when the drops start dropping. When the drops stop dropping, the storm starts stopping.

Re: Upside-down rainbow
I got to see both ends of a rainbow just a few weeks ago, for the first time. Unfortunately my camera didn't have a wide enough angle lens to capture a picture of it.
Upside down rainbow? I didn't even know that could happen!

Re: Upside-down rainbow
I've got a picture somewhere that shows a 360 rainbow around my shadow. I was in a cloud looking down the side of a mountain.
Here's a weird one from just the other day.
It's infrared, but not very good. The interesting part is those contrails that seem to be casting a shadow UP onto the higher clouds...or at least, that was my take on it.
