New Res 5 Screens: Totally Rad Dirtbike Zombies Ho!

Capcom have today released four new screens for Resident Evil 5. No idea who, exactly, at Capcom said "Hey, you know what we need? Zombie dirt bikes!", but the man should get a gold star.

Re: For bratboy

Are those actual shots or just mockups?

What system is it suppose to be for too? Those are too high res to be for the Wii...

Prolly 360 or PS3 dev machines. My bet would be on 360. Epic's dev machines are pretty beefy.

Re: For bratboy

There are ways of taking screenies far above the target render res, and at higher quality, too. Just don't say "cheating..." anyhoo

First off, the main image was part of the latest content for Resident Evil 5. Looks like you'll be fighting some kind of bat ... man creature.

I swear, I... um, nemind. :cyamax:

Anyway, ask anyone on staff and they’ll tell you I’m most excited about Resident Evil 5 above any other game coming out within the next year. I absolutely adore the series and can’t wait for it to come out in March.

The latest trailer for the game premiered at TGS and it gives us a better idea of the plot behind Resident Evil 5. We see the members of Chris Redfield's team dealing with the infected villagers and there’s even a throw back to Resident Evil 4 in this trailer.

Best of all? Wesker is in the trailer and shows off how badass he always is. The new voice actor doesn’t sound that bad as Wesker either.

Re: For bratboy

RE 5's Kawata: Wii couldn't even handle RE 5's intro screen

We all would love to see Resident Evil 5 on the Wii. But, according to the game's producer, Masachika Kawata, the Wii couldn't even handle the graphics of the game's introductory screen. When asked about improvements on the game from 4 to 5, Kawata mentions the biggest improvement are the graphics, as "the title screen of this couldn't have been done on PS2 or Wii." We're not sure we buy that.

There's still a sliver of hope that there could be more Resident Evil making its way to Wii, however. During a separate interview with GameTrailers, another producer, Juntake Uchi, commented that Capcom would love to continue to support the Wii with the franchise. And, personally, we'd love to see them hook us up with something other than old ports.

Head past the break to watch the video.
