Whore shower; broken arm
Some of you knew what happened before you even clicked the link.
For everyone else:
A while back I put a motor on a bicycle. Average 20 mph, top speed 23 mph.
Today, I was taking a right turn at 10-15 mph when the front tire blew. I felt the bike start to jerk over, so I straightened it and goosed the engine to regain control. Unaware that the tire had blown, I leaned into the turn again when (this next part happened faster than I could think, I had crashed before I realised I was crashing) the front tire snagged the brakes and stopped. I did a high side tumble and caught my right hand at the index finger on the pavement and rolled it backwards. This separated my radius, near the elbow. I also smashed my helmeted head into the ground and broke the helmet. It was about this time that I realised I was crashing. Fat lot of good that did, after I was already done. I never even had a chance to put my hand out instinctively to stop the fall.
Total damage: Smashed helmet, floggin' on the noggin'. Broken radius (forearm bone), inconsequential scrape on hip.
Bike: Mirror smashed off, kickstand bashed loose. I didn't look at anything else yet.
Where's my vicodin? this smurf hurts.
Please ignore the remainder of my posts tonight. I am about to not be all there any more.

Ouch, I have had a separated shoulder, but all they gave me was Percocet.
I have also had a similar fall where I was riding, pulled back on the handlebars and the front wheel came off!!

I had surgery on the side of my head two weeks ago (behind my ear and on my scalp) to remove skin cancer. I had a sponge stapled to my hair for over a week and couldn't wash my hair.
Thankfully it was only for a little over a week!

Maybe you should hang up your bicycle shorts?
Seriously, though. Glad you just got a broken arm. It coulda been worse.
There's a woman at work that took up bike riding, although not the motorized kind. She falls off her bike at least once a month.

Would you be willing to help me take them off?

That's pretty funny right there. I hope someone got a laugh out of my wreck, cause I sure didn't
For everything that could have happened, I did get off easy with a broken arm. Thanks for all of your support.

Dude - I hope you a quick recovery.
My back is still in a lot of pain from my recent incident - the fact that I have bad posture (I slouch) doesn't help.
Guess your tires just couldn't handle the extra strain.
Have fun with the vicodin.
My doctor didn't give me any, he said he didn't want it to mask a real serious back injury if there was one.
At this point I'm pretty sure there isn't - but I'm past the point where I would want to use it anyway (I generally don't like drugs unless I absolutely need them).

What does any of this have to do with cleanin' yourself off in a gas station restroom? ("Whore shower")

They lie. They don't clean themselves off in the service station bathroom - they smoke the crack they just bought with the previous customers money.

Re: Whore shower; broken arm
Vicodin? Must be nice. When I got flung by the Water Buffalo at 100+ they gave me a couple regular Tylenol, taped my smurf shut, put me in a room with a massively demented dying old man (he passed on the last night I was there) and then spent 3 days asking me why I wasn't having bowel movements.
Patience is a virtue of the weak for it makes them stand still long enough for the strong to crush them with ease.

He has a broken arm ... he can't take a real shower easily
and if he does it involves a garbage bag duct tape and a lot of worrying.

I've broken my arm twice, and had baths without the garbage bag. Sure, it takes forever to dry out, but you can certainly have a bath/shower no problem.

Ooh, that sucks. Be careful with that Vicodan, though. That stuff tulip really mess up your perception and underdressing skills.

I am curious what brand of bike you chose to add the motor to. I got a theory.
I’m not ready to make nice-I’m not ready to back down-I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round-It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could-‘Cause I’m mad as hell-Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I tried the same thing - but I didn't get very far before the extension cord ran out.
Now had I used a weed whacker engine I might have been able to get farther.

There are countless examples of motor being used as engine, and since society dictates language, I feel justified in my usage.
