Camera views
Hi all,
What are the names for various TV camera views of a game, such as a pro football game. So far, I have:
bird's eye are easy. Then there is the traditional side view, the camera hanging behind the quarterback and endzone views from the ground and from the goalposts. So, are there names for these views besides "camera 1", "camera 2" ?

Are you asking for sophistication where there is none?

Re: Camera views
Didn't answer the question, but I did find this bit of history:
First Televised Football Game, Waynesberg vs. Fordham, 1939
I'm sure the directors have definite designations for the different camera positions, but they might not be standardized for the industry. The terms you're hearing are the ones the sportscaster makes up.
