Six Percent?!
The last issue was 96 pages (not counting cover) in total 16 pages starting on page 49 were ads from 1&1 - come on; 16 pages - that is 6% of the magazine. enough is enough, seriously!

Um, the ads pay for the magazine. Just like for most of TV you are not the primary audience: you (along with the rest of the subscription base) are the product that the magazine is selling to their advertisers who are the primary audience.

30% (18 minutes of every hour) of broadcast television is ads. Cable, which you pay for, is about 25%.
Individual ad campaigns will often buy an abnormal amount of a magazine's adspace.
