Apple Cinema Display for My MacBook Pro
Hey there all,
I need to purchase a ACD for my 17" MacBook Pro 2.4GHz since my 20" iMac is dying from the faulty power supply, video or/and overheating HDD.
Considering a used 23" ACD model-- but it's out of warranty... Would that be too risky-- an out of warranty display without Applecare? I would never consider not purchasing Applecare when it comes to a notebook or a desktop, but is Applecare highly recommended/necessary when it comes to an ACD?
Any advice/suggestion would be much appreciated

If you're worried about warranty, I would consider looking at a refurb from the Apple Online Store. At least then there's some warranty, and you have a grace period in which to return it for things like dead pixels.
But honestly, if money is an issue (it is for me) I wouldn't consider an Apple display at all.
