I NEED HELP PLEASE!
i have a older powerbook g4 running 10.4 one day it had froze up and when i rebooted it, it will start to boot but then will stop at "starting mac osx ..." and the blue bar will keep moving. after a few minutes the box will disapper and the user log on screen does not appear. i had a ripped 10.3 cd and was going to downgrade
but for some reason the cd failed to install. i would hate to do a clean install because i would loose EVERYTHING! is there anyway to fix my little misfourtune?
thanx for the help

Re: I NEED HELP PLEASE!
connect it to another machine in target disk mode, get your files off of it, and then do a clean reinstall with a non-ripped OS X install CD/DVD.
