Airport connected, browser/internet will not
I have two computers (identical) using airport cards on the other side of the house. One computer can see and connect to the internet fine. My other computer connects to the wireless signal, and it is strong, but when I open the browser or try to connect to the internet, I get nothing. It's driving me crazy and my daughter is very distraught! Any ideas?

Are you sure that the wireless network it's connected to is your network and not a neighbor's?

Yes. I did check that. Actually I can see both mine and my neighbors network. I selected mine and it says it is connected to it, but I cannot access the Web or iTunes, etc.

your AP and your neighbor's AP may be on the same channel ... try switching channels.

Nope. As stated, I have a 3rd computer that is working and connecting fine. This particular computer was working, but now it is not connecting to the internet. I'm thinking it is a setting that I am missing, but I am stuck.

i would enter in a static ip, subnet mask, router IP and dns setting... will probably clear it all up
DHCP is just too sloppy....

At my place of work we have 1000's of computers going through dhcp and it's fine... and for a small network that doesn't need port forwarding or it's a server there is little reason NOT to use DHCP.
