I'd hate to be near this base right now.

What? I am? Crap!! That would explain all the guy barking orders into bull horns and the explosion down the street. wink

U.S. Air Force Station They were apparently conducting training exercises there today. I live a long block to the west and it was quite loud around here today.

Why?  She's of age.  And she'd know exactly what you want.

River is 17 in the series and Serenity.

Not morally unacceptable to me, being only two years, but still illegal.

Kaylee always caught my eye a little more anyways.

Oh yeah.  I forgot about the puritanical US laws.  Fortunately I live in a country where the government stays out of the bedroom in consenting relationships.

Quantico Marine Corp Base is less than 20 miles from where I live. We're all used to hearing the guns when they do artillery exercises.
What's even more fun, at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, you can often hear military jets flying right over the mall, since Oceana Naval Air Station is practically next door. It adds a nice ambiance to the food court. smile
