Web Technologies
I want to review web technologies briefly. These are the ones that I have reasonable understanding of as a user:
html duh, javascript, java, embedded players, flash, sql, ancient asp, forums, user-created polls.
If I were to hire a web programmer, what technologies should I expect them to have command of ? (never mind Flash issues for now).

HTML, Javascript, a server-side language (such as Java, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, Perl, ASP.net etc, typically something that you choose), and SQL (basic syntax is applicable to all servers, but each variant has its differences, especially when it comes to advanced programming in T/SQL, PL/SQL, etc).
You want to be careful of programmers that claim to know everything... you can be familiar with multiple languages, but you can't really be good in 10 languages at once (ironically, you need to know at least 4 languages...).
If your work doesn't have a server-side language you work in currently, what you choose is based on a number of factors... like what your current environment is, how much you can pay programmers.
Those are just buzzwords to get them into the interview with you though. You'll need to interview/trial them to see if they're any good.

Don't forget CSS, and a commitment to standards-compliance is a big plus.

Oh, excellent point. And make sure your potential employee's idea of standards-compliance is not IE6
