Re: Terminator: The Summer Glau in her Underwear Chronicles

Last Friday's was actually somewhat decent.
Last Friday's Dollhouse was disappointing though - I'm sorry, but the circumstances of breaking into that vault were just way too unrealistic.

Technology that can wipe and load memory and skill sets into the mind I can deal with, you have to accept that premise for the show - but a 1 hour period when all security is disabled on a vault while they do upgrades, including a seismic detector not triggering for the hole they blasted? come on.

I liked that feisty character Echo and Sigma were playing. We'll probably see that one again if the series lasts.

For those interested, Summer Glau will be on Big Bang Theory Mon. Night.

IMHO Howard Wolowitz-and his mother-are two of the funniest characters on TV right now.

Nice pic of Linda. I thought that dated pic of Knightley was a little unfair though. She's more substantial -figure wise and acting wise-than that. As a cursory viewing of Atonement will tell one. Oh hell, maybe she's just my own PBS/Rupert Brooke, Jane Austen inspired/Anglophile dream of what a real woman should look like wink .

Re: Terminator: The Summer Glau in her Underwear Chronicles

Speaking as a feminist, I object to the use of the terms "feisty" and "big bang," along with most of this thread.

Speaking as a chubby-chaser, I object to the unrealistic linking of tight bellies with curvy backsides, and to my own use of the term "chubby-chaser."

Speaking as a gay homosexual, I'd like to balance the above images with the following pictures of the sexiest man alive:

It's Andy's world. The rest of us just live here.

Sooo anyways... Did anyone else jump up and cheer when Riley got plugged? Me and my brother did. She's annoyed me from the start. I never really found her to be that attractive either.

On that note, we can now forget about her and get more Summer Glau air time. Speaking of which, she was on Cold Case last night.

Joss Whedon is awesome. But Dollhouse doesn't interest me in the least.

Neither did Buffy or Angel.

Though Alyson Hannigan is pretty awesome. big_smile  And speaking of...

I'd prefer it be How I Met Your Mother. Barney Stinson kicks both of those two straight in the pants. He is, wait for it...

Wikipedia didn't have a photo of her on her page, so I used the best I could find on TinyPic. She's my last choice anyway. Never saw nor want to see Atonement.

The photo may be from the 2008 BAFTA Awards and brought to mind how young an actress Knightley is. Of course, though I enjoyed it, Atonement is not for everyone, & I realise I'm def. in the minority in this thread as her admirer.

I'm not quite as impressed, but even I know you're not supposed to mention his 'body of work' without at least a passing nod to Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. (google ' joss whedon dr horrible ' for more results incl video).

C'mon folks, most of you are younger than I. Let's keep up here. tongue wink

So you're saying you hate Dr. Horrible? Because you will note that I mentioned two Joss Whedon shows I don't like. I didn't mention ANY of the ones I like. I love Dr. Horrible more than my own unborn children that I hope to one day have when the economy is back to normal... I also love Firefly and Serenity as well as the two episodes of The Office that he directed. (Business School and Branch Wars)

I want more Dr. Horrible. More Neil Patrick Harris. NPH is the greatest actor who ever lived or ever will live. And this is the proof: http://www.hulu.com/watch/53001/saturda … wser-theme

Re: Terminator: The Summer Glau in her Underwear Chronicles

You all watch way too much television!

As long as we're on the subject of TV hotties, though, I guess I'll say that Abby from NCIS is just adorable!

http://image.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/NCIS-perrette_300wide.jpg

Notice that, as with Cameron (and Poogie*, for that matter), my fetish is for the character, as opposed to the actress playing said character.

Regarding Andy Lau, he holds the distinction of having starred in the most beautiful damned film I've ever seen, Running Out of Time...

...and also having starred in one of the worst films anybody has ever seen, The Wesley's Mysterious File:

Re: Terminator: The Summer Glau in her Underwear Chronicles

Really though, in that picture of Andy Lau singing on stage in a silver outfit, what's the deal with the guy behind him wearing...

Oh let's see, WTF is he wearing? Um... A bicycle helmet...  Silver, glittery gloves that go up to his elbows... Gargoyle-ish sunglasses, stereo headphones, vinyl pants... Goth/jihadist scarf to conceal his face...

Somebody needs to stop that boy from accessorizing. Ever. It's like he got in a fight with Hot Topic and lost.

And what's with the little, backwards Apple logo in the lower right corner of the pic?

Re: Terminator: The Summer Glau in her Underwear Chronicles

Oh, I'm sorry;

Those gloves actually go way past his elbows.

And he'd wearing knee-pads.

I hadn't noticed the knee-pads.

Words fail me.

Thanks, now I don't feel so bad about 40 years of bounced rent cheques.

The gloves and knee pads are fine. The gas mask seems a tad much, even for a show biz person.

Dr. Horrible isn't TV. It's an internet show written by Joss during the writers strike. Basically just to pass the time.

Frankly, I wish more people would do this. And he should do this himself more often. Maybe if Dollhouse gets cancelled (It's on Fox. So that "if" turns into "when". Didn't he learn the first time he put a show on Fox?) he'll write us up another brilliant musical.

Also, since he's so good at writing musicals, am I crazy for wanting him to do one more episode of The Office with everyone singing? I mean Creed already fits the part. And I'm sure Steve Carrell has sung once in his life.

I think he has learned, from what he's said about his future in TV. I imagine he's made sure he got PAID, though.
