How is everybodies unibody 17" MBP?

I'm not sure if this has already been posted, just wondering who got the 17inch macbook pro (finally) how its running.

Impressed? Not impressed?

And spec. Anyone actually bit the bullet and gone for 8gb RAM?

Well I've have it on the way... supposedly. When I ordered it Feb 19th I had 2-3 weeks time for delivery, still waiting. As for the 8gb or ram, I think in a mac pro that'd be fine if you could use it all by running pro apps and what not, but for a laptop? I think it's a bit over the edge, I mean it'd cost double what the laptop price was to get that much ram in the 1st place so why not go full monty with a Mac Pro instead.

you speak the truth brother. But i need portability. And laptops are always getting replaced tech wise. Often too.

So need a laptop that also doubles as a desktop in terms of power.

The best place it seems to upgrade RAM for cheap is crucial.com, but they dont even have RAM suitable for the 17" MBP yet, and as for your 17inch, are you in America? I thought the Americans should of got in before us brits. Call Apple dude, quite a few people including myself recieved the laptop on the 19th Feb, and that was WITH delays.
