Final Cut not exporting correct aspect ratio
This is been bugging me for a long time. I can never seem to export a 16:9 video with the correct aspect ratio. Is there some magic trick? It always squishes it back down to 4:3.

Re: Final Cut not exporting correct aspect ratio
First: Make sure you're capture settings are correct under Video/Audio Settings. You have to let it know it's 16:9 footage you're working with.
If you've already edited your footage, I think (maybe?) there's a check box on your clip settings that you can click for anamorphic. Can't remember for sure though.
And when you export it, depending on the route you go (I use Compressor since it's right there and hasn't failed me yet) make sure you're using the 16:9 option.
That should be it. Hope this helps.
