Dropped iphone in tub. Still works fine.
Here's hope to all you butterfingers out there. iPhone slipped into the tub and fully submerged, entering the water from the bottom of the phone where the connection interface is, and falling in about eight inches deep, probably no longer than one second, maybe less. Phone still worked when it came out but I shut it off. Started shaking the water out with centrifugal forced by swinging my arm very hard toward the ground a few times. I took out the sim tray and let it rest on the radiator that runs along the floor. Checked it a few times over about 1.5 hours to see if it was getting too hot or if it turned on. It turned on finally after the standby button being pretty unresponsive unless I used it in conjunction with the home button. At first it turned on with the home button not working, which led me to use the radiator. So, working perfectly now.
If you look around the table and can't tell who the sucker is, it's you.

Thats just one advantage of flash memory (no moving parts for the hard drive). My thumb drive has gone through the wash and the dryer 2 or 3 tines and still works as new.
