bratboy's forced indifference to lawyer jokes brings me great amusement.

Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.  Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."  They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Pretty stupid thing to say, though as damage control he's invited one of the top special olympics bowlers to play against him in the white house.  The special olympics bowler is fantastic, is going to whoop Obama's ass, and Obama is going to get some great press out of it.

Oh bullsmurf. Really.

I never said Obama was the second coming of Christ, and I don't know anyone who has. Then again I don't usually watch television news.

And what he said may have been politically incorrect, but it's not "the most smurfed up smurf". It's not as if he's the first person to have a politically-incorrect thought. And it's not even as offensive as some people are making it out to be.

Lame excuse...

a) it reveals some level of either intolerance or inexperience, or both.
b) he's a freakin' politician. He should know better, whatever his underlying bias.
c) Thankfully, he's apologized. See:

Re: Obama's Special Olympics crack

a) Yes.
b) Right.
c) And very rapidly, too.

Nobody should argue that it was an impolitic thing to say. But to be outraged by the content rather rings hollow since most people would find themselves making a similar remark.
