New iPhones?
I'm getting ready to switch my business over to iPhones but the buzz is that new phones will be out soon. Any ideas when Apple will release the new ones?
I hate the thought of spending $1000 and ending up with last generation phones.

Re: New iPhones?
Would June be enough time for developers to release their apps and get them approved for 3.0 ? June possible. July also possible.

Re: New iPhones?
If Apple has a history of June releases then I might be able to wait but I am getting antsy now that I have made the decision to switch.

Re: New iPhones?
June, that really sounds about right, historically speaking
also could be July tho, because of the iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade.

It's really close to being time for an update, I would wait.

What's next, iPhones in fruity colors?
Wait, I know! An iPhone with no display. You shake it, and it picks one of your contacts at random to call. Drunk dialing has never been so simple!

There has been talk of better speeds, upgraded camera and other rumors. I guess I am tired of buying into technology only to have a bigger-better version come out a week later at a lower price.

Cell phones are generally updated quite often, so it really isn't surprising.

There will always be a bigger and better iphone just around the corner.

I'm used to having my new toys become old news after 8 or 10 months but 8 or 10 weeks just bothers me.

IMHO, I would wait. Normally, I could give two smurfs about faster processors, but in this case, I really want a faster processor.
The iPhone is a great phone and all, but the there are times when things like the keyboard are fairly laggy. A faster processor would do a lot to improve the user experience.

I usually just restart every week and it seems to solve laggy issues (probably due to the memory dump)

Re: New iPhones?
I'll get an iPod touch when they update them. I just hope they update the low end to at least 16GB. (Seems the next logical step.)
My dream would be to have 1TB, but that ain't gonna happen so I'll settle for at least 16GB. Nothing less. And I'd rather spend $220 than $300. Though 32GB low end would be nice.
Also, I wonder if they'll sell the touch's in white like the iPhone.
Edit: A camera in the iPod touch would also be awesome. One camera. I could use it as my camera instead of the big Kodak Z700 I have. I only use it for posting photos online. I don't really need a high end camera. And if it had video capture as well, it'd replace the thing completely. Would so come in handy during my trip to California. But I'm just dreaming. I've had the dream of Apple releasing a digital camera again that was part of the iPod since the iPod's were still called "iPod photo". Before the mini's and nano's were even released. Or the shuffle.
Yes, an iPod touch with a built-in camera that can both take 2MP photos at least and 640x480 video for YouTubing would be totally awesome.

Damn! If only I could program CocoaTouch. I'd be right on that.
"Drunk Dialer" only $.99!

No man, it needs to be free, like beer.

How can I make a profit off someone else's idea if I give it away for free? They can get the beer for free, but the app is $1.99. (Demand just skyrocketed)

The key is to get them addicted. Then convert from free to paid.

They're already addicted if they're drinking themselves silly. At this point, they will probably buy the app in a drunken stupor anyway.
