Combine/organize TT Font Files into styles
I have a a TT font family (the FF Meta family) but instead of being logically organized into families and styles they are each a separate font name with a naming convention like "MetaBoldLF-Caps" for the Meta with bold and caps styles.
OS X, nor Fontexploer Pro, not FontDoctor, nor Extensis Suitecase, nor Smasher seem to be able to resolve this. It's driving me nuts.
Do I really need to download a font creation suite and combine them by hand?
Thank you,
-Zach

Re: Combine/organize TT Font Files into styles
Don't smurf with your fonts. It will cause only problems down the line.
I'm sorry that family wasn't coded properly or that your application isn't reading them properly, but it's far easier to deal with them ungrouped than it would be to deal with all the other headaches that will come from creating a new, custom version of a common font.
