Re: Gay marriage legalized in Maine
The guy compared expressing his opinion to shouting racial or homophobic epithets in crowded bars. I think he finally understands what we've understood about him for a long time: he comes off as bigoted.
The way I see it, if you can't handle having your beliefs questioned, even (dare I say it) challenged, you really shouldn't be here.
God forbid you should have to face the fact that you're not nearly as reasonable as you thought you were.

So if I were to start lobbying to repeal the 15th Amendment, you would not be offended. A vote should be between a white man and a ballot box. That wouldn't offend you?

I would wager all of it. I love how righty-tighties scream that "the left" is stifling their "free speech" every time a righty-tighty has his opinion criticized. "The left" isn't stifling "free speech," it's pointing out idiocy.

I know ... They get banned for standing up for what they believe in if no one else agrees. Then labled as being a jerk when in fact they aren't any worse then others around here normally are.

Indeed. However, I'm still rather unclear about thread locking. It seems somewhat proportional the ebb and flow of a monthly menstrual cycle. Or a leaky tampon.

Right--by, among others, another person who was also given a timeout and who you also raised as an example of an unfair ban.
One of those posts was directed at me, by the way, and I wasn't even involved.

Hey, he was just standing up for his beliefs until the liberal MAN got him down!
I still believe in liberalism today as much as I ever did, but, oh, there was a happy time when I believed in liberals.

In case you don't know, he was banned for going into this Unplugged thread where Vegas asks for prayers and good wishes concerning a friend of his with a family and cancer and deciding that such a thread REALLY needs someone to tell Vegas that he's a brainwashed fairy-tale believing idiot, and that any thread that has anything to do with religion needs to be in MiniThink as not to offend his delicate sensibilities.

Back when he was more concerned with homos than with being a libertarian, NokX insisted that gay marriage was simply a "passing fad."
