IF anyone takes a real look at the debt it doesn't take long to figure out much higher taxes and or serious inflation (the biggest tax on the poor possible) are coming.

Isn't the conservative doctrine that policies that raise GDP will raise revenue without raising tax rates?

GDP has taken a massive hit from levels that already weren't high enough to cover their old levels of spending. When you look at the extra spent for these bailouts/stimulus programs plus the 60 some trillion we were already in the hole- things aren't good is putting it mildly.
