Dick Cheney: hittin' the comeback trail!

Polls point to a rise in the Dick's approval rating

Fifty-five percent of people questioned in the poll say they have an unfavorable opinion of the former vice president. Thirty-seven percent say they have a favorable opinion of Cheney, up eight points from January when he left office.

“Former President George W. Bush's favorable rating rose six points in that same time period, and Bush has not given a single public speech since he left office.”

The poll suggests that 41 percent of Americans hold a favorable opinion of the former president, with 57 percent viewing him unfavorably.

2012, BABY!!!!!

There are a lot of crazy people out there.

It is, however, amusing that RNC has come to mean Rush-Newt-Cheney. Sure shows where that party is heading.

Moral of the story: if mainly everyone can't stand you, shut your mouth and drop out of sight, and people will start to like you again... or at least forget why they don't like you.

Except Cheney hasn't dropped out of sight. He's been on the Sunday talk shows regularly talking about how Obama will kill us all.

True. I guess it is baffling.

I've come to the conclusion that his four heart attacks are an asset if he chooses to run:  clearly a heart attack isn't enough to stop him.

Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.  Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."  They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

The most astonishing thing to me is the uptick in Dubya's positives. That's just unbelievable.

Just the rose-coloured glasses effect, I guess.

Cheney is a complete smurf stick.  I can't believe they are even giving him any air time.

Rush resigned as party head.

Re: Dick Cheney: hittin' the comeback trail!

I don't remember how long Al Gore stayed away--but isn't it, I dunno, customary for the former administration to shut the smurf up for a moment after leaving office?

Not only is Cheney the most visible face of the GOP at the moment, but he's even dispatched his nutcase daughter to do his bidding.  Granted, I can't complain because he's ultimately harming his own party...

I don't know.
Clinton broke custom when he bad-mouthed the Bush administration on foreign soil. I don't recall you having a problem with that.
However, this isn't about breaking custom. Cheney was directly attacked by the Obama administration with the accusations of torture. You can't expect him to just bend over and take it, he's going to stand up for himself, and he did.

Not only is Cheney the most visible face of the GOP at the moment, but he's even dispatched his nutcase daughter to do his bidding.  Granted, I can't complain because he's ultimately harming his own party...

Is he?
It seems to be those that hated him already that are the most upset by what he has to say.
That tickle's those of us who are disgusted with the direction Obama and Congress are taking things.

When did Clinton "bad-mouth Bush on foreign soil"?

Either way, I'm just TICKLED PINK that a warmongering ex-VP who considered himself above and outside the statutes and Constitution is attacking someone who is evil enough to cut my taxes at the expense of the richest people in the world!

For good or for bad I think we are going to come to realize that Obama has found Reagan's Teflon jacket.
Hope he puts it to good use.

There was a topic here about it.
He was in an Arab country when he did it.
