iDVD broken?
Every time I try to create a new project in iDVD it just hangs. I've repaired permissions, deleted preferences, tried another account, tried exporting to iDVD from iMovie HD. Nothing works. It was working before...did one of the recent updates wreck it?
This is iDVD 7.2, running on OS X 10.5.7 on 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo imac, 3 GB RAM.

Re: iDVD broken?
Same thing happened to my daughter. When she put the disk in to reinstall, all of a sudden the program started working. Weird.

Hope and change could be forever.

Re: iDVD broken?
Just scare the app a little. It usually works.

Re: iDVD broken?
Well, so I reinstalled iDVD, which was a harrowing process since the iDVD checkbox was greyed out in the "Install Bundled Software" installer. I could only select everything, and had to uncheck the iWork and MSOffice demos...I couldn't uncheck any of the other iLife apps, because they were greyed out too.
So I backed up with Time Machine and ran the install....iWork and MSOffice were installed even though I unchecked them. Oh well.
So now I start iDVD...and it crashes on launch.

Re: iDVD broken?
OK, I tracked down and deleted everything regarding iDVD and also uninstalled DivX as several forums indicated it was a problem. Reinstalled it and now its working. I hope it lasts.
