Hidden documents on desktop
I have numerous "hidden" documents on the desktop that only appear if you click on the desktop in various places. Once the computer is restarted they disappear from the desktop. When the desktop window is opened they are listed there and can be opened but cannot be dragged onto the desktop. Some of them are mine but others are not and if I try to trash them, I get a message that they are being used by the OS. What is going on???

Re: Hidden documents on desktop
In the Desktop, go to Finder / View menu. Choose "Arrange by Kind" or something.

What names do they have? Try opening the Desktop folder under your Users folder as that will display the Desktop contents in a folder view making it easier than trying to find something on the actual desktop.
List some names. Are they actually hidden, or are they just out of view?

Re: Hidden documents on desktop
Are these naughty pictures of scantily clad women, hopefully multiple women in negliges having a pillow fight?
Keep them hidden.
