Cosmetic surgery – Fixing Case Scratches?
What are some good ways to fix scratches/scrapes/cuts/gouges on the Mac Pro metal case?
Based on the findings of the report, my conclusion was that this idea was not a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious.

If the MP case were shiny, I'd suggest an abrasive polish. But the MP case is textured, so polishing would just make it look worse. Maybe you can fill in some of the scratches with Testors putty.

Hmm...due to the finish on the case, I'm not sure anything short of refinishing the entire thing is going to give you the desired (uniform and matched) look...

I'm not looking to make this an expensive repair, just looking for an easy way to fix a few scrapes and scratches without breaking the bank. Was thinking about paint, some kind of filler material or scratch-removal polish. Trying to make it match as much as possible but not obsessing about it being perfectly seamless – that's going to be real hard to do.
