That's strange, I see both his unrecognized characters and your properly displayed ones and I'm using Safari.

It's the way they're replaced as they're posted not as they're displayed, sumi.
Under Safari half the special characters are unrecognized when posted.
Under Internet Explorer one quarter are unrecognized and about one quarter are replaced with alternate text when posted.
Under Netscaped 7 all characters are posted correctly.

It sounds like a Safari bug. Get the newest build of Safari and/or complain in Apple's Safari forum. I'm sure they'll fix it if you let them know about it.

Get the newest build of Safari...
It's still busted in v64, or so I hear. The symbols appear correctly when you type them, but render as question marks when you do a Preview or Submit. Bummer.

Have you guys tried messing with the encoding of the browser? For me, in Galeon, Western (ISO-8859-1) works perfectly.
Hard work may not kill you, but why take chances?

I just used the bug report feature and sent them a link to this thread. 
The storm starts when the drops start dropping. When the drops stop dropping, the storm starts stopping.
