One wonders how/how comfortable the game's demographic to this point will be playing as the titular character, how good sales will be... I wonder if some Sims-like play might make up a substantial fraction of it (a sizeable number of Sims players seem to derive pleasure from torturing their virtual creations). I can imagine a fair number of homophobes/haters playing primarily to torture Tony in diverse ways.

Anyhoo... coupla trailers, some art etc. available. More coming as the 10/29 release date approaches. More info at various other sites.

I for one will not being buying it ... and this is coming from some one who owns just about every GTA

This sounds like it makes you really angry!  You might take a moment to consider why that is.  Most straight men I know don't waste any time worrying about what gay guys are doing.

By the way--heterosexuals make their sexual orientation known, repeatedly, on a daily basis, in nearly every aspect of society.

Right, the prevalence of homosexuality tends to vary by region.  Because that makes sense.

I don't go around worrying about what gays are doing. It's when they start doing gay things around me that I have the problem ... like I said before "keep it to you own god damn self".

Worse, I suspect if someone told him just how many of his neighbors are gay; he'd probably have to move. I believe he might be safe from gaydom in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, or Afghanistan - and the real-estate's probably pretty cheap as well.

What would make you think that there are any less in Ohio that elsewhere?

Granted, they may not be as happy in Ohio (who is?) or they may not be 'out,' but they are most certainly there.

This is not to mention that you don't particularly strike me as someone that anyone is in a rush to confide in regarding their homosexuality.

I'm fine with people being opposed to 'public displays of affection' generally (even though I suspect this is only directed at homosexuals).

However, I'm not going to keep my sexuality a secret (by not speaking of my partner at work, for example) just to prevent some from being uncomfortable.
