Playstation 3 in a shared network

Hey,

So I currently have a bunch of computers, macs and pcs, including my airport extreme with attached hard drive - all showing up in my shared servers in OSX.

How can I get a playstation 3 to also show up as a shared server?

Re: Playstation 3 in a shared network

Can someone move this to gaming? (thanks).

So, I haven't had any luck with this by turning media sharing on and plugging an external hard drive into the console, though I didn't think it would.

Has anyone used the osx app called 'PS3 Media Server'? It's about 25 times better than the 20 dollar media sharing software that's also out there.

I've never used Nullriver's PS3 media sharing utility but their Xbox 360 one, Connect360, works superbly. Here is a link to Nullriver's PS3 sharing utility: http://www.nullriver.com/products/medialink
