Repairing Permissions!

I hope I get a 10.6 seed update this week so I can have fun too.

I installed it and everything went fine...except I got two startup bongs.  There are no problems, but did anyone else get two bongs?

Yep, totally normal.  This doesn't seem like a major update, but it looks like they fixed a Spotlight memory leak.

I am totally bummed I ran it on a Brand New Macbook Pro 17" and am Not happy to report the results. Gosh, I ended up with a Full Screen (23 inch cinema display) of Permission Errors and Warnings (something new in all my years as a mac user). I did a Repair as always and Next did the Install and then made the mistake of proceeding to Verify and Repair Permissions. From what I have subsequently read on other sites seems the Live Update has caused lots of Permission breaks. Tried a suggested FIX of downloading and Twice installing Combo Update Then doing a Verify and still a page full of Permission Errors but it apparently repaired some as the numerous Warnings it had returned the first go round since they have not resurfaced. Banging my head on my desk!
