Re: Snow Leopard issues?
I got a blue screen during the reboot. Called Applecare just in case and did another reboot.

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
Only problem I am having is that I installed it without having a network connection(I am in Iraq). Right now it is hung up on connecting to Apple... You'd think Apple would be a bit smarter than that since even a MS machine would have stopped trying to connect and tell me that I have to register the software within X number of days.

Well then you gave Apple permission to register your product, you are given the option to say no. Right? At least I was.
Doesn't mater thought, SL is installed. This just a registration process. Just quit.

Can't drag an image from Safari into the Photoshop icon in the dock to edit it. I blame the new in-dock expose. VERY annoying.
I could do it before the "upgrade"

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
I posted this in another thread, but since this seems to be the official Snow Leopard problems thread here it comes...
Snow Leopard killed my FIREWIRE port! I'm running a 2.4 gHz iMac Core 2 Duo. My external FW hard drive doesn't mount. My Panasonic Camcorder doesn't mount. iMovie, Final Cut Express, Final Cut Pro, and iMovie HD don't recognize or see my camcorder.
I did a bit of googling and found a few threads on the Apple Support Forums describing others with similar problems. I know it's a software issue and not a hardware failure, because I'm currently running Vista Ultimate on the same machine, and importing video from the camcorder while I type this message.
Can you believe it? I just had a problem with my mac and turned to FRIGGIN' WINDOWS for a quick solution!?!?!?!?!

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
I've noticed after power outages that my Airport will not work even though the light is green. I always have to unplug it for 30 seconds and then after few minutes it shows and works again.

My external Firewire drive does mount. No problems there.
I fired up a new MacBook into Target Disk Mode connected to my 2007 iMac. No problems. Both running OS 10.6.0 at the time.

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
After installing 10.6.1, I found it necessary to repair disk permissions to do some file transfers.

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
I just got my first lock down/need to restart computer message. This has not happened to me for a long while. I'm not sure if this correlates with installing MenuMeters beta which I did the other day. But it occurred right after I switched from my son's account back to mine (Admin).

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
Snow Leopard disabled me from using my Parallels Desktop setup. The OS tells me to upgrade from version 3 to version 4 not the application!
Guess Apple is getting a kickback on those upgrade fees right?

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
I think I mentioned in another thread that Cocktail for SL is out.
Personally I like Cocktail over anything else for what it does. It's worth paying for as they upgrade it constantly and it is a one time fee forever. I've been using it for years. It flies under SL too when compared to the regular Leo version.

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
Where is the option to take away the MobileMe icon from my Menu Bar.
I can't seem to locate it in Prefs.

Re: Snow Leopard issues?
Can't vouch for this:
"Anyway, an 'ugly' MobileMe icon in your menu bar? Do you mean the Sync icon, which looks like 2 arrows in a circular formation?
If so, to get rid of it just hold down the command key (to the left of the space bar) and drag it out of the menu bar."
I have some other icon up there now that i have no idea what it goes to. When i click on it, it says open keyboard.
