Clickable URLS in text documents
More then often I copy posting replies that contain information, advise or tips etc at various forums.
However when I paste them to, for example, Tex-Edit Plus, TexEdit or some other text processing applications the URLS that were in the postings on the web site can't be double clicked to go to the web site.
How do I configure TexEdit or Tex-Edit Plus ?
I've noticed that "Read Me" documents using TexEdit do have clickable Urls.
Is there any other text processing that would allow me to simply type or paste in URLS that would be clickable to go to the web site ?
I am using OS 10.4

Re: Clickable URLS in text documents
You need to Command-Click the link and "Copy Link Location". Then you can paste the actual url into a text document. In Text-Edit, select Edit > Edit Link... and in the dialog box that appears paste the url you copied previously.

Re: Clickable URLS in text documents
Yes that works for individual URLS.
However what I want to do, for example, select the entire posting/reply, Command C, then Command P, to TexEdit or any other word processing application. Then what ever URL was embedded should show up as a clickable URL (blue and underlined).
For some reason Apple's TexEdit is not my favorite word processing application but I can't find a word processing application that can do what I want.
Suggestions welcomed.

Re: Clickable URLS in text documents
I think we may need a bit more info...
When I copy text from this forum and paste it into TextEdit the URLs seem to consistently be there. And clickable this is on:
Safari: 4.0.3
OSX: 10.5.8
TextEdit: 1.5
Is your file a "plain text" file or a "rich text" file?
