I rely heavily on the calendar feature as I use it for work and personal reminders. My old Palm had a program that interacted with their calendar program that would float events (if you did not indicate that an event was not completed it would float to the next day so you would not forget). It would also sound an alarm not once, not twice, but every five minutes (or whatever you programmed it to) until you indicated that the alarm was noted. I miss this feature tremendously. (smurf, my mother's birthday is Sunday and I will be late AGAIN with my present.)

As a result, since basically throwing away my old Palm and going to the Touch I have missed a few birthdays and am lucky I have not missed any appointments (I check my schedule every day in the AM). I have downloaded SmartTime Plus. However, in order to sync the info from Apple's Calendar you need to sync with Gmail and then sync from Gmail to Apple's Calendar. Not only is this a pain but is something I have not had any success in doing. It just doesn't work for me. All that gets transferred are reminders for one specific event, and it is emailed as well which I do not like.

Question: Are there any good calendar apps that have these features that I can sync all the info currently on Apple's Calendar directly to instead of doing so through an online service? (Not to mention I do not trust doing this online with some of the personal info that I have on my Touch.) I know Apple, being control freaks, won't let any app maker integrate with their Calendar as Palm did/does. At this point I may just do it manually to SmartTime but this would be a big time hassle as it would be VERY time consuming.
