Re: wonderful video
The Republicans hounded Clinton the entire time he was in office, trying to make sure he didn't accomplish anything, using the tool that they had at the time: a special investigator.
Now they are out to do the same to Obama, using the tools that they have now. Exploiting racism is one of those tools.
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.
Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

When there is genuine racism, call it for what it is.
As I've noted many times, calling someone a "racist" is a serious charge. It is one that I never use lightly.
Calling the president a "racist" who "hates white culture" is pretty outrageous. Referring to judges as "racist" for reaching a legal decision you disagree with is extreme, and plainly unwarranted.
I haven't made any of the types of generalizations you've offered above--though as I pointed out previously, there are even conservative pundits that agree both Beck and Limbaugh were race baiting with some of their comments.

Not sure if this has been posted, but the original video is from around the inauguration, and the parents were given the lyrics beforehand and none of them complained.

You are willing to specify racist motives for tea partiers because some show up.
But a President who jumped on a cop before he had the facts when a black professor had an altercation, and attended a Church for years where Jeremiah Wright preached with some very strong language that is very easy to interpret as racially motivated, and it's outrageous.
I think you are much more critical of conservatives than you are of liberals when it comes to issues of race and how much leniency you give them in what they say and how you interpret it.

You are blatantly lying when you say the president jumped on the cop before he had the facts.
I don't know all the facts. What's been reported, though, is that the guy forgot his keys, jimmied his way to get into the house; there was a report called into the police station that there might be a burglary taking place.
So far, so good, right? I mean, if I was trying to jigger into -- well, I guess this is my house now, so -- (laughter) -- it probably wouldn't happen.
(Chuckling.) But let's say my old house in Chicago -- (laughter) -- here I'd get shot. (Laughter.) But so far, so good. They're -- they're -- they're reporting. The police are doing what they should. There's a call. They go investigate. What happens?
My understanding is, at that point, Professor Gates is already in his house. The police officer comes in. I'm sure there's some exchange of words. But my understanding is -- is that Professor Gates then shows his ID to show that this is his house, and at that point he gets arrested for disorderly conduct, charges which are later dropped.
Now, I've -- I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that.
…
Note that the questioned posed to him specifically asked him what the arrest says about race in America: "Recently, Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. was arrested at his home in Cambridge. What does that incident say to you? And what does it say about race relations in America?”
Clearly, he didn’t jump on anybody. He relayed the story as he (and most people) knew it at the time, and what his opinion was, based on what he knew wasn’t the full story. It’s not fair to claim that he “jumped” on anyone.
Would you have preferred the standard political dodge of “the president is not commenting on this”? Actually, I bet you do prefer stonewalling to a president willing to communicate with the people.
Sorry to have to rehash this in this thread, but you should try and correct your facts. It’s telling though that you still cling to wrong information in order to paint Obama as a racist in your head.

I have never stated that the "tea partiers" generally have racist motives. I've said that some of them do, most probably do not.
But a President who jumped on a cop before he had the facts when a black professor had an altercation, and attended a Church for years where Jeremiah Wright preached with some very strong language that is very easy to interpret as racially motivated, and it's outrageous.
I do think it's outrageous. I do not believe that the president hates white people, white culture, or that he's racist. He's surrounded with white people and one of his parents was white. There is no evidence that he's racist. Judges who reach a decision based on law are not "racists," even if the legal outcome is discriminatory. Did they make the decision because they are racist against whites? Unlikely, given that all four Supreme Court justices that agreed with the lower court ruling are white.
I think you are much more critical of conservatives than you are of liberals when it comes to issues of race and how much leniency you give them in what they say and how you interpret it.
I am, in general, reluctant to label anyone a "racist" without good reason.
