What do you hate about Macs?
Hardware wise, I hate the power cord. The magnet connection thing is brilliant, however, the brick sucks. I realize some people need to swap connectors in different countries and that slide out piece makes it convenient. However, I've pulled out the cord and packed up my MBP not knowing that this piece slid out and stayed in the socket on a few occasions when going long distances making it useless once the battery drained. Once I drove an hour and a half home only to realize this piece was left behind as soon as I got home and drove immediately back to get it (hour and a half both smurfing ways!). I also do not like the fact the cords remain white misfits.
Any complaints?

Oh, and tonight I pulled the cord out of a power socket and that small piece remained. I almost got electrocuted getting it out of the power strip.

Sounds to me like you need a lesson on how to use electrical plugs?

Well, let's see...
I hate the fact that they are so elegantly designed, and work so well, as this makes all the other computers feel bad about themselves.

And you sound like an condescending smurf who has never been in a hurry or have asked someone else to pack you MBP not knowing about this little slide piece.
Thanks for being a jerk-off though.

Re: What do you hate about Macs?
Oh, and I hate the fact that my MBP, for at least the last year, when it gets down to around six minutes of power left, it goes into sleep mode, awakens if I prompt it, stays awake for a few minutes more, and then just shuts down instead of going back into sleep mode, losing anything you may have been working on at the time. This may be my isolated issue with my MBP though. But again, it started like a year ago.
Oh, and I hate the fact that Apple takes so long to do stupid little things. Like the new latchless MBP. That should be incorporated years ago.

You gotta know how to handle electrical plugs. For instance, this one right here seems to be stuck in the wall socket. That's no problem, 'cause I can pry it loose by wedging my screwdriver in-

Next time, just plug in a standard power cord. Much cheaper.

I take it you've tried re-calibrating your battery? If it shuts down, skipping sleep mode (like my old iBook G4 battery did), I'd say time for a new battery - your battery apparently has trouble holding a charge.

No, my battery holds a 3 hr
charge and BatteryHealth Monitor list it as being at 100%. (currently (installed it 8 month ago though). Keep in mind the web site I git it from did claim their battery to be at last 30% better than Apple's original. BatterHealth Monitor said I had a 139% charge advantage over Apple's. And the battery is $40 cheaper.

Re: What do you hate about Macs?
I would sure like to know how your brick does that wellfelation, since those slide in plugs snap into the power brick pretty well. Although I always use the cord, not the two prong plugs.
I hate the trackpad/button on the new MacBook Pros. I also hate the fact that Apple simply refuses to acknowledge that professionals use and need 2 to 3 button mice.
It was stupid to put mini display port on the higher end MacBook Pros.

Isn't the Mighty Mouse standard now?
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.
Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

Re: What do you hate about Macs?
Far as I'm concerned, Logitech's the standard for mice. And since their drivers appear (at least for my mouse) pretty decent for Mac, I'm not really compelled to tread into Mighty M. land just yet.
