Re: video from macbook to tv
We would have to know what inputs are on the TV and which macbook it is.
2.66Ghz QuadCore-Nehalem w/24"LED CD ---2.2Ghz BlackMB---15" 2.4Ghz MBP(work)
Dual 2.3Ghz G5 (4G Ram, 2x 250G HD)(10.5 server)--- 400Mhz G4 PM (10.4 Server)
1.5GHz Powerbook---1.6Ghz G5 iMac

If it's Mini Displayport to HDMI, check out this one at Monoprice. I had seen some body was going to manufacture an all-in-one that had HDMI and sound together, but don't think it's available yet.

i bought the computer new in Feb. 2009(if that tells you anything). my tv only has composite, s-video, and coax for inputs. i will be upgrading the tv later and have better selection of inputs, but for now i need something to work with the tv i have.

Sounds like the macbook is one of the new ones with mini-DisplayPort only?
In that case, you are stuck buying a miniDP to VGA adaptor and then a VGA to composite "scan converter" box.

Aha! Sorry to jump back into your thread since HDMI isn't an option for you but, if my TV's USB handles audio in then this bad boy is mine!
