Error message in DVD player
I just encountered this message when I woke up my mac G4 mdd with tiger
DVD Player encountered an error it could not recover from.
The current machine or system configuration is not supported (-70013)
I put the DVD player is in stop mode at that time before putting my mac to sleep.
Can anyone tell me what this means and what can be done about it?

I have not gotten the problem so I cannot say from experience, but this suggests to try to reset your Mac's PRAM (restarting holding down Cmd-Opt-P-R) and see if it clears the problem. Instead of trying to install OS X 10.6.1, use whichever is the latest COMBO update appropriate for your Mac.

Mine has this problem in 10.4.11 (Tiger). Would dumping the DVD playre preference solve the problem?

You can experiment with this.
1. Quit DVD player
2. Move the preference file for DVD player out of the Preferences folder.
3. optional step: logout and login (or reboot).
4. Restart DVD player and see what happens.

Are you talking about the com.apple.DVDplayer.plist found in user/library?
