Re: Obama wins Nobel

I can't believe he got the prize. Other people who have been promoting peace and justice and even giving their lives don't get recognition for their efforts. There must be something really wrong and nasty going on. Besides, how come a peace price is given to someone who promotes and pretend to impose like it or not abortion. Someone who promote such a barbaric procedure to kill babies, our most vulnerable citizens, the future of the nation definitely doesn't deserve a peace prize.

Fetuses are citizens?

Must be awful to be living in a country that just seems like a big concentration camp to you.
You should move. I suggest Iran, no abortion there.

Fixed that fer ya.

Of course anyone who would be happy about the the legal prevention of abortion is unlikely to worry about the fact that abortions would continue to be performed regardless.

1) Welcome to the forums.  Don't take the cynics too seriously.

2) The Nobel Prize is never given posthmously.

3) Even Obama was taken aback by the award.  In this topic, we have considered the possibility for him to turn it down, but ultimately to decline it would be an affront to the international community.

4) The Nobel Prize has been a sad joke for a long, long time.  I have to say that while I somewhat agree with your apparant stance on abortion (I do think that in some limited-condition cases, abortion can be beneficial, but that's for another topic), I doubt that it was a factor of consideration.

Fetuses are citizens?

Yes. As are zygotes and embryos. But all that is besides the point, since abortion is the official term for "killing babies". Please bear that in mind when discussing these things.

Re: Obama wins Nobel

I have such a huge problem with people like GuitarNerd. A person could cure cancer, put an end to world hunger and find a way for people of all races, creeds and religions to get along in peace and harmony, but if they're not vehemently anti-abortion they're evil.

And babies grow up to be adolecents.

Do you really think we need more of those monsters?

I have it on strong authority that GuitarNerd is or may have once been an adolescent.

Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

See! My point is proven. I, on the other hand, was born 40. My mother said so.

When I was about 35 I actually did thank my dad for not shooting me dead while I was a teenager.
He did allow it took some force of will.
