The thing is that there is this girl I like and I don't know whether she likes me back.

gd: There's this neat acronym I learned in the VR: JAHOYFT. Just ask her out you smurfing tool. You can hem and haw over whether something she did means she likes you, but the honest truth is that you're not going to know unless you actually ask her out.

If you have the balls to ask her out then do so. The absolute worst that can happen is that she'll say "no" and you can move on. A moment of potential embarrassment is nothing compared to the hours you will have spent agonizing and wondering.

That would entirely depend on the scolding. If she had a SE grin on her face, she liked it and you should move on to boobs. If she was seriously pissed, you're out of luck.

I completely understand your pain, though. My dating life in HS sucked, and not in a pleasant manner. College wasn't too much better. I didn't get my stuff together until grad school - by which time I was considered a (dirty) old man.
