Windows 7 - Cheesier marketing, all between two buns

Forget the Quad Stacker, folks....

Confirming our belief that Japan is at once among the coolest and craziest places on this planet we all call home is Burger King's exclusive Windows 7 Whopper. Seven stacked beef patties extend your usual Whopper to over five inches in height and the whole thing costs an appropriate ¥777 (or $8.55). It'll be available for one week only -- or seven days, get it?

Holy gosh. There's no way that won't stop your heart for a few [s]seconds[/s] minutes. When I was there last summer McDonald's had (and probably still has) a 4-patty Big Mac. I forget what it was called, though.

ed: I thought there was a strikethrough bbcode command. Apparently I'm dreaming.

The text at the bottom explains that only the first 30 people asking for it at each outlet will pay 777 yen. The regular price for everyone else is 1430 yen which makes it about US$17.

BOYCOTT SONY

"I think the question now is not whether you went to Vietnam or whether you didn't, whether you fought in the war or fought against the war. I think the only question is whether we can find a president smart enough never to make a mistake like that again"--Molly Ivins, way back in 1992

Yeah, at regular price it's kind of a gip, for North Americans anyway.

Ha! A CNN reporter (apparently not too concerned about her health) actually attempts to eat it:
