iTunes
Question, I wanna transfer music from girlfriend's old PC to my New Mac Pro, there's a lot of CD's that I had added because her CD's where getting scratched badly in her car. Now the CD's won't play in the car and the mac can't read the CD's any more.
My question is, how do I transfer the music from her PC and keep the artwork as well? I don't know how she got all her music. Doesn't iTunes keep the art connect to the music with it's own filing system ?? I already have a lot of music I downloaded from the iTunes music store on my Mac.

Re: iTunes
What program are you using to store the music on the PC? Is there a way to export that music as MP3s if it isn't stored in that format?
If "yes, I can save/export it all as MP3s" then you can just copy those files to your Mac and drop 'em all on iTunes to add them, then let iTunes find the artwork for you (Advanced>Get Album Artwork) assuming that those tracks are available on Amazon. Anything left out would have to be added by other means.

Re: iTunes
From my old experience, when I burned some of my songs as data CD/DVDs and imported them back, iTunes didn't keep the rating and play count. Probably it wouldn't keep the artwork either. Don't know how it does now. What you need is to merge your girl's iTunes DB into yours. I don't know how though.

Re: iTunes
If she has iTunes 9 it is quite simple. Autorize both computers on her account. Next turn on home sharing on both and import all of her songs. (you will have to manually select it) Thats it. If anything loses artwork just do what D'eyncourt said. You will need a router and an internet connection. If you don't have a router just activate Internet sharing on the mac. This is assuming her computer has wifi.
