In other news, Glen Beck would probably be supportive of this one.

Oh... wait... this one doesnt involve racial slurs or shots at a "terrorist fist bump", it's just a shot at one useless sack of crap.

I thought it highly amusing smile

Re: Glenn Beck: Not Dead

I am deeply concerned about the shockingly large number of right-wing jackasses in our culture who are openly calling for the death of our president. It's totally out of hand, and it worries me tremendously. The Onion's video does not help the situation.

One cannot combat the advocacy of murder by advocating murder.

Yes, the guilty parties right now are overwhelmingly on the right, but none of us will profit if folks on the left get down into the gutter with them.

If something like this were done about Al Gore or George Soros, y'all would be up in arms about it.
And you would be right.

Nah, my reaction would be the same as to this one: a tad tasteless and not very funny at all.

Re: Glenn Beck: Not Dead

Yeah, I normally enjoy The Onion's news videos tremendously, but that was one of the worst ones they've ever done.

Regarding George Soros: I hardly even know who that is.

Regarding Al Gore: I thought they'd disconnected his life-support years ago.

I think killing Glenn Beck would be wrong.

Much better to nail him by the scrotum to a piano and then set the house on fire. . . so Glenn. . . whatchoo gonna do?

It would be much better to factually note the striking similarities between Beck's rhetoric to that of Hitler in 1930's Germany.

If you could give links to some of these "large numbers" you would be more believable. There are always some idiots calling for smurf like this on both sides. What makes me want to puke is the crap from jackasses like those of you here on this board, you talk about wanting  to kill and torture conservatives in the same sentence that you condemn such activity.
You prove once again by your vitriol, your hatred of anyone who has a different view than you, your anger at those with opposing views and your lack of any kind of moral standard that you are exactly what it is that you say you hate.
Keep up the good work.

Re: Glenn Beck: Not Dead

I think what is salient is that the instances you cite here, Daddyo, while not done in a humerous vein are done sarcastically to illustrate a point. The calls to kill the president, et al, seem to be done with a real desire to see it accomplished.

I agree with you that some people are serious about killing the President, it happens with all presidents (including Bush). What bothers me is what you call "sarcastic", it happens way to much, which suggest serious social problems. Nailing some ones balls to a piano and setting him on fire is not sarcasm, it is an illness.

There's nothing quite like a rant about "vitriol" when the ranter simultaneously uses a word like "jackasses" is there?

Oh right, this is also a rule infraction.

Re: Glenn Beck: Not Dead

The standards of this board allow for the calling of mass killing, turning populated areas to "glass" etc, and even defending war crimes such as torture. It's hard to imagine "jackass" and scrotum nailing might qualify for censure.
