MobileMe and multiple sets of Address Book data?
My computer crashed a while ago and I recently have gotten ahold of my backups. Because I basically started fresh and went a few months without utilizing my backed up data, there are a few programs that don't seem to allow for a totally smooth merging of Application Support data and preference files. Skype is one, and I posted about my problem with that here. Another one is Address Book. For some reason it doesn't seem to import the old Application Support data and preference files in a way that plays nice with the newer contact entries I have.
Since I have MobileMe, if I copy my newer Address Book data out of the Application Support and Preferences folder, and then copy in the older folders from my original backup, will that erase the newer contacts that have been put in the cloud via MobileMe? I figure that if I restore the data for my older contacts, they will be uploaded to MobileMe. Assuming that absolutely no contacts are deleted from my me.com account, but instead only added, I think it would be a good way of merging my data.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you very much!

I'm hoping to restore all my old data soon, so I'm still curious about my original post. Any ideas?
