Acrobat problem.
First off, let me say I know practically nothing about Acrobat and my total time using the program is about 15 minutes.
Today I scanned an image and opened it in acrobat and saved it as a pdf. The idea was to send the pdf off via email for a proof.
The scan looked like crap on screen, very thin and all dropped out. The weird thing is that I test printed off it and the output from the office laser printer was perfect looking. What would make a pdf look like smurf on screen but print perfect?

Bitmap scaling.
If you aren't viewing at 100%, 50%, 25%, or some other even multiple/divisor, it'll look like smurf.
Prints out fine though.
Photoshop does the same thing. But if you're working mostly with photos (as opposed to scanned documents) you might not have noticed.
FWIW, I learned this the hard way at Kinko's.
